I Await You
Are you out there, my love?
I’ve been waiting,
oh, so many years
for a sign from above
that’ll ease my longing
and dissolve my tears.
Can you hear me, my love,
through skies of blue?
On wings of light
flies the pure, white dove
that I send forth to you
to calm your lonely, sleepless nights.
Can you remember, my love?
Of lifetimes past,
when we danced with the wind
knowing nothing but love,
before the world grew dim?
Can you remember, my love?
As time moves on,
the motionless sky
moves on with it
and I wait.
