Love’s Anxiety

My thoughts cascading
like a faceted diamond
sparkling around the topic
of you and I
Prisms of love
and of what may become
shooting rainbows of hope
through my mind and heart
where we still laugh and wish
throughout all our days
and play
and love each night away
Please, tell me you’ll stay
My heart can’t take another blow
My soul can’t take another day
of the unknown
I’m only wanting to know
are you here to stay
on this magical day
that we’ll stretch far and wide
into a prismatic night
that lasts forever?
