Simply God
Behind those eyes
is a god
who though human in appearance
may seem
when stripped to the core
of his forsaken lore
his semblance of self
is but a dream.
In the twinkling of an eye
we appear
in the laugh of a belly
we are there
in the tickle of the tummy
when our world’s upside-funny
we are, simply, God.
All that we see or seem
is but a dream within a dream.
